HELPFUL WATERING TIPS

A thorough watering once a week during hot weather is far better for your plants than a light hosing every night.
A deep watering encourages the roots to follow the water down where the soil is cooler and often more moist.
Short watering can cause the roots to stay near the surface where the hot sun can heat the soil and dry out the plants as soon as you stop watering.

Soil should be kept just moist (not wet) as water logging of the soil inhibits plant growth.
