PRUNING HOW-TO’S

Tip prune shrubs once a year to promote bushiness and an abundance of flowers for the following year. This can be done at any time, but is more important in the first 2-3 years.

Kangaroo Paws should be cleaned out by removing dead flowers and any dead leaves right at the base leaving the plant clean and vigorous. Leaving dead flowers on the plants inhibits new growth.

All natives with ‘daisy’ type flowers benefit from prune in August to remove dead flower stalks and encourage a bushy habit. This includes the everlasting daisies.
